Facebook is very addictive

Facebook is very addictive. One reason that makes it addictive is the prompt social validation that Facebook users experience. Over time these harmless validation turns into validation fixes that messes up the brain neural networks.  So much so that individuals make it a second nature to seek and attain social validation for every act that they do.

When this happens, Facebook users almost become a slave of their narcissist self. It is important to understand that the physical world that an individual lives doesn’t function anything similar to the virtual world that Facebook is depicting.

In other words, if you were to do acts and perform chores expecting validation from everyone around you,  then you will end up heartbroken every time and all the time. This would eventually lead to depression and research shows a correlation between depression and mental breakdowns.

You will end up broke

You will end up broke at the end of each month. Research study undertaken among Facebook users has found that Shopping Expenditures hovered at around 150%. This means, most Facebook users bought stuff for personal gratification. The Study also found that most buyers were emotionally triggered to buy.

The reason, once you are a Facebook user, the company collects all related information about you and maintains a profile data table for you. Every item that can trigger your buying instinct is captured, stored and sent to third parties who would post advertisements accordingly.

The alarming part is that, Facebook uses what is known as Facebook Pixels that will record all browser information, long after you had logged off.

Your security is Compromised

 You keep following people, thinking that they are your friends and this in turn gives them access to all your personal content. Just with a single Click your picture comes floating on the browser. All an user would require to do would be just to copy your picture and design another account with a different login and post your picture as his.

 This is a very common cyber theft that is very prevalent in certain countries in Africa. Where young men indulge in acts which would lure female users to them while posing as the man on the picture and expressing wishes of long time friendship and marriage and subsequently asking for large sums of money in return.

The frauds such as these amounts to millions each year. The disdainful point of this fraud is when the  victim realizes that she was duped into being relieved of her fortunes, files a police complaint with the picture [the picture of you] she has.

Soon you will realize that The Interpol is now after you, with no fault of yours.  It is imperative to understand that though you are innocent yet still you have a case of defrauding the innocent to the tune of several thousand against you. How are you going to  prove your innocence?

The Fear of the Virtual Self

Most Languages are ambiguous. Your intentions may be right, but how you word them will play a vital role in understanding the core content. Also, it is important to understand that not all have the ability and the skill to narrate experiences in detail using written communication and that would mean a world of difference in the virtual world.

You may miss a comma and the entire sentence will resonate a different tone, putting you at a disadvantage of being misunderstood. You may even place a mojo which may not resonate with the subject, though it was an insight from your part yet still you would be profiled.

Now where does all these add up? The answer to this question will keep you awake all night. You need to know every comment you place on the Facebook social media network is stored and used to create the virtual you which might be used to make judgmental conclusions.

You are not your own-Facebook owns you

It is customary for online companies to collect basic information about its users. But under the name of providing enhanced User experience, Facebook captures and stores even the most sensitive information about its users.

Though Facebook always claims that it is offering its services for free, in actual reality, Facebook makes Millions of dollars from its users. Facebook makes money in Two ways, One through Advertisements and other by selling sensitive user information to third parties. In other words, Facebook gives nothing away and uses its Users like parasites devouring its host.

Facebook privacy policy favors only them and deems all users as its employees

Usually companies that operate online will have privacy policies that are duel sided but that is not in the case of Facebook’s privacy. In fact, no governing body has even the right to question them as to what they do with the data.

If Facebook finds you as the competitor, they will ban you from their site

This has been the norm. Apparently for no legitimate reason, Facebook has the reputation of banning Users from using its platform, the minute it finds out that Users are following a pattern that is different from its stand. This has been their modus operandi.

Facebook’s reputation is stink worthy

Facebook’s reputation to meddle with security matters of other countries has created an element of animosity for American travelers. Facebook has been blamed for spreading malicious lies and hate among innocent people.

Facebook’s CEO has questionable behavior-Cannot be Trusted with private information of loved ones

Mr. Zuckerberg has exhibited questionable behavior ever since he was accused of fraud and devious means of stealing the Social Networking Idea. Time again, Mr. Zuckerberg has been involved in accusations of data theft and sharing to third parties.

If we are to support a Company then it is imperative that the company follows a good ethical stand point in its operations. And not adopt dubious and scrupulous ways to fool and lie.

This would also means that Facebook cannot be trusted as a Company that promotes family values and virtues. When your own personal information is not secure, how could you vouch that your loved ones data is protected.

Facebook is manipulative and is too Powerful for any Governing body to control.

The Truth is, Facebook is too powerful for any Governing body to control or even Govern. Their audacity is so much that inside stories claim that they can even sway how electoral think and react. These are fearful words and may or may not have any bearing. But given the way they treat users it wouldn’t be long before for such a thing to occur.
