The untold story of Napoleon Hill, the Greatest Self help Motivator

Today we shall be reviewing the Post written by Matt Novak, titled, “The untold story of Napoleon Hill”. You can read the entire post by Novak, by clicking this link.

To us, the characteristics of Matt Novak can be summed up in the following manner, a child who was born today and wanted to run the 100 m race challenging the likes of Ussain Bolt.

So what does that mean? Matt Novak has embarked on a mission to garner attention through devious and scrupulous means by attacking the Rich, the Famous and the greats. All for filling up his coffers.

The post by Novak, starts off humorously, with the following sentence, “Napoleon Hill is the most famous conman you’ve probably never heard of”.

Well, if he was notoriously famous then why in the first place no one ever hear about this side of Mr. Napoleon Hill on the contrary his stardom was for something else.

Then on, Novak augments his post content with slanders and penny worthy judgmental statements thus calling out all of the business practices of Mr. Hill to be fraudulent and deceptive.

Well, in all honesty, we are not surprised at Novak’s behavior, for this is the typical behavior of a loser. A loser who has nothing to show off, yet still, puts his foot in his mouth and spews mess at successful people. A behavior that we get to see every day and every time.

Novak have you ever tried speaking to a house of 5000 seated intellects?

He doesn’t stop there, Novak, goes on to tarnish the standing of Tony Robbins and Norman Vincent Peale too. The much important question to ask here would be, how many times did Novak get to speak to an audience of over 5,000?

Okay, if that be too much of an asking then, how many times did Novak get to speak to an audience of over 1000?

The tree is judged by its fruits. Look at the fruits that these great individuals produced whom Novak is calling out. These greats have changed, transpired, inspired, transformed the lives of Millions. Need more proof? open up Youtube, and it will tell you volumes of their accomplishments.

It is often said, when you do nothing, say nothing, act on nothing, the world will never trouble you. But the instant you take action, to change your life, the first enemy you will see will be your friend sitting next to you. Very discouraging to see how often the Match that we carry, is the one that buns our house down.

Novak, can you Produce one Jim Rohn, or at least an Earl Nightingale? Still you have this audacity to bad mouth Mr. Hill.

Novak terms the efforts of Mr. Hill’s success and inspiration talks to be the nonchalant spark that produced the Genre to the likes of Tony Robbins and Norman Vincent Peale.

Well, that just prompts us to ask Novak a question, what has your writing produced? Don’t tell us, verily we do know the answer, Nothing.

What is wrong with Advertising?

Novak, shouts out that Mr. Hill’s entire life was an advertisement, an advertisement that spoke of Visualization, dreams, etc. Well this prompts us to ask this question, what is wrong with advertising oneself, advertising your assets, advertising your strengths, advertising your services?

It is often said, the Moscow Olympics saw the dawning of the new era in the age of spending spree in Advertising. The event sponsor, Coke, spent in millions, was even granted monopoly and no ambush marketing was tolerated.

Every year Nike spends unprecedented amounts on Advertising, and then passes the cost on to its customers. A similar like quality shoe can be bought for half the price that Nike shoes costs, yet still no one wants to buy them, why? because of Advertising.

Now, if a common man does the same, but instead uses his intelligence, he is instantly stopped, called names, and docked out forever.

Novak’s comments only reveals his foolishness latent within

Statements such as these from Novak directed to nullify one’s use of inherent visualizations and dreams, goes only to show the inherent inadequacies latent in him.

For history is filled with greats who had credited their success to visualization and dreams.

The scientist of the Millennium, Albert Einstein, himself had one time stated that, success is 98% Visualization and 2% perseverance.

History abounds with dreamers

The great Martin Luther king too, time and again, spoke about his vision and his Dream. The dream of  emancipation, the dream of freedom to all slaves, the dream of a struggle that will oppose all physical forces with soul force, the dream of a fight that will be fought with dignity, discipline and honor.

Though Martin Luther king, is not here, his dream lives on.

Mahatma Gandhi, too had a Dream, a dream to live in free India, the freedom that would grant every Indian the right to elect his/her own governance, the dream that would bestow freedom to live with rights. This Dream too was realized.

The American colonies too had a Dream. The dream to own and govern their properties, the dream to stand up against the British Empire, the dream to think without being told what to think, the dream to obtain freedom, to go where one pleases, a dream to live lives with peace and tranquility. This Dream too was realized when the colonies defeated the British Crown.

Novak doesn’t know how to “Count” Time

Novak calls Mr. Hill a Charlatan, the irony is, Novak claims that he has done countless hours of research on Mr. Hill, in his own phrase, “After countless hours of research, I still feel like I’ve captured just a mere glimpse of the complexity, that Napoleon Hill was”

Now the absurdity here is the use of the term “Countless”, Novak-are you trying to tell the reader that you have totally lost the ability to count?

That would mean one of the two things, one: you did nothing during the time, two: if you do not know how to count and account for the time that you have put in, it would only mean you are an incompetent person without a set goal.

Most too often a person without goals often ends up a loser. So what are you now, Novak?

Hill never met the President, so says Novak

Hold on! Reader, the best of Novak’s idiosyncrasies is yet to come. In the succeeding paragraph, Novak nullifies Mr. Hill’s claims of meeting President Wilson and President Roosevelt, stating that there was no evidence for that.

The question here would be, is it necessary that all of the meetings that a President and his advisers have, ought to be necessarily documented? Are there not terms such as Privacy, and off the Records meetings?

Finally, how does Novak conclude that Mr. Hill never met the President? What sources was he banking on? The problem we face today in free America is that any Tom, Dick and Harry is free to spew mess on the upright and virtuous without the law’s interference.

Poor writing style from Novak

Then on, Novak displays his writing inadequacies. He writes the following sentence, “long after Carnegie had died in 1919”, the question here would be, why would you use a past particle to refer Carnegie’s death? As if he was in possession of it. Time to join school again, Novak.

In fact, such a flawed writing on Novak’s part, will now prove as to why Mr. Hill had the good fortune of meeting not only the President but great stalwarts of his time.

The proof is in the pudding. Even at a very tender age, Mr. Hill was popular for his writing skills. He was a reporter and more so was in the limelight and attracted the attention of key magnets of the times. You see, not all can write, in fact, not all can write with good grammar, Mr. Hill possessed this ingenuity. Not only that, given any topic, he went at it pooling all of his mind’s focus and dedication, till he achieved the expected end results.

The Carnegie-Hill collaboration

Novak then accuses, that Mr. Hill started making claims of his collaboration with Mr. Carnegie only during the 1920s, when Carnegie was not in the scene. The question here again would be, how was Novak so sure of that?

Novak then goes on to call the book, Think Your Way to Wealth , written by Mr. Hill, which depicts the discussions that Mr. Hill had with Mr. Carnegie in detail to be laughable and more so written in garbled style.

Well, Novak, we would like to know as to what aspect in the book is laughable? Secondly, of all the 100 million people who had read the book, you are the only one who had gone out of your way, out of your potentials, out of your abilities, to tarnish and slander, both the book and its writer, offering not a drop evidence to substantiate your loud mouth. Why would you do that?

Consequently, all of your slanders and falsification only makes us to yonder in bafflement and ask, what are Novak’s credentials?

The Claimed biographer of Carnegie, David Nasaw, is a mere academician

Then, Novak, quotes David Nasaw, the biographer of Mt. Andrew Carnegie, who according to Novak had mentioned that he found no evidence that the book was authentic.

Now if David Nasaw , actually said, what was claimed by Novak, then there two concerns which we would like to raise.

Foremost, David Nasaw, in his own Wikipedia page, never describes himself as Biographer but rather an Academician. This would mean, his biographical portrayal of Carnegie should be considered as a work of fiction or more so an academic work of fiction.

Why? Foremost, David was born during the 1940s, the era of the great disappointments and the impact of great depression was felt in every individual of that age, secondly, he had no real contact with Carnegie, thirdly, he majored in American Studies, finally, he works for CUNY, a university which was started during 1960s which has no real tradition or essence to boast off, added to all these, Nasaw, has writings with titles such as, “the rich threaten democracy”, “ we can’t rely on the kindness of billionaires”, “Hitler, Stalin, O’ Malley and Moses”.

It is said, the writer’s inner mind is portrayed in his works, now tell us readers, from these titles what can you infer about the writer’s mental condition?

Nasaw has his own Biases and reservations

We can clearly conclude that the writer has authored most of his works holding some sort of bias. That would mean, given the qualification of David and his writing titles, the biography of Carnegie by David Nasaw, should Not be considered as the work that offers all evidences for Mr. Andrew Carnegie’s life and work.

Continuing further, with regard to Nasaw, stating that he found no evidence for Mr. Hill’s meeting with Carnegie, or for their collaboration only prompts  us to mention, that Nasaw’s qualification or his credentials does not qualify him to make a sweeping statement like that, for it likens to a little boy seeing a caterpillar and exclaiming, “there is no evidence that a butterfly can come out of this worm”

The Multinationals can reinvent but if a common man does the same, he is called a Conn man

Novak, then calls Mr. Hill, to be a racket of reinvention. If that be true, then companies to the likes of Netflix, Amazon, Uber, Airbnb and countless other business models are mere reinventing.

Nothing new, right! For all have been done before, just that we have the same wine in different bottles with some cheap synthetic imagination.

In fact every Ph.D, program awarded by the Universities of the world is merely a reinvention, for they are rightly called research, RE-SEARCH.

You merely search the same stuff again with a different mindset.

Without even tasting Sushi, Novak critiques a Sushi restaurant

Novak, then calls Mr. Hill, to be a master of fraudulent practices, venturing into a business with a purpose to swindle and then flee. With Novak’s only claim to this accusation being his private research, all done without the aid of Mr. Hill’s archive. The question is, where was this so called private Research of Novak carried out?

To us, these claims sounds too idiotic, why? To write on the flamboyance of the Niagara falls, you need to go to Niagara falls. To write a comprehensive essay on the fabulous beauty of the Lavender gardens, you ought to visit France.

Now, here we read, Novak, claiming to have done countless hours of research on Mr. Hill, without even visiting Mr. Hill’s archive. Does not sound trust worthy to us, can only be classified as a bed time story.

Reasons, Reasons, and more Reasons

The reason that Novak gives for his inability to visit Mr. Hill’s archive would that be of Mr. Green, the archive’s director’s, unwillingness to comply with.

Well, as it is said, the ulterior motive of individuals is long known even before you get to know them. Mr. Green, being an intelligent man, has spotted your lying deceitful nature, Novak, the minute you told him, that you were interested in the life of Mr. Hill, and that you had intentions of writing.

The irony is, you claim and pass judgment that others are devious and corrupt, when you are the epitome of one.

No more American Dream, says Novak

Novak then goes on to state that believing in the American dream, though alluring was largely flawed and more so what was orchestrated by Mr. Hill’s legacy.

The question to Novak would be, what is so flawed when it comes to believing in the American Dream? For it is this dream that had made America to be the most powerful nation on this planet, and a puffed up country.

American Dream teaches us the will to rise up

If you have the will and if you live in America, you can make it, no matter whether you are broke or not, no matter whether you are college educated or not, no matter whether you are black or white, no matter whether you are tall or short, Scarface, Rocky, George Foreman, plus countless other immigrants from Europe, who all came to America, with merely a dream, have all  made it. You know why? all of them had a vision to go with. But Novak doesn’t understand this.

Novak offers nothing but Discouragement

So now, Novak is telling us the American dream is all flawed, a legacy built on lies and deceit. Bravo! Novak, you will really be a great motivator, a motivator who will ensure that our kids will surely fail.

Let us tell you what the richest man in the world once said, “People without vision, perish”

Without Confidence people perish, but apparently Novak is not aware of this

Novak, then calls Mr. Hill, to be a troubled and depressed man, who banked on Visualization and Confidence, for achieving success.

Novak, let us explain you this one thing, the Lion, is in fact not the tallest of all animals, not the strongest of all animals, not the fastest of all animals, not the sleekest of all animals, not the cleverest of all animals, yet the world calls the Lion, the king of the jungle.

All that the Lion has is Confidence. He believes, he can take you down, he believes, he can out run you, he believes, he can fight you out. The key word “believes” and that is merely a byproduct of confidence.

Confucius, once said, he who believes he can and he who believes he cannot, are both right.

McGregor, the MMA, superstar once said, from being a plumber, I became a millionaire, all I did was, visualize. Every day!

A prominent basketball star once said, if you cannot visualize your win then don’t’ get into the court. For when the lights come on, it is suddenly an all new game, for if you don’t have it up here in your head, you will never have it in your hands.

It is such a pity that Novak, has got all wrong when he called the American dream, flawed and then to mock Mr. Hill for his belief system on Confidence and Visualization, all of which merely proves inefficiency and lack of knowledge.

Novak now accuses and abuses, the sign of a weak and impotent man

Novak, out rightly calls Mr. Hill to be intellectually and spiritually impotent, in fact, it is Novak, who had all through demonstrated his feeble intellectual cognition and lack of knowledge on the subject, merely writing a post on insinuation.

More so, Novak has revealed and declared his spiritual impotency when he has embarked on his agenda to slander a soul that had changed the lives of millions.

It is often said, you see the evil of self in eyes of others. It is so true in Novak’s case, when he calls out Mr. Hill, to be a deceit, and a fake and thriving merely on the knack of storytelling.

But all of these description can only be apt and appropriate to Novak and his writings.

Novak pokes his nose into the bedroom of his neighbor

Novak, then goes on to slander the personal character of Mr. Hill. According to Novak, Mr. Hill, was married at least 5 times. The question to ask here would be, why would Novak be concerned about the number of times that Mr. Hill got married, when the state has permitted this.

Is getting married, evil? Does Novak not know, women prefer the rich and famous, probably Novak should look into the life of Hugh Hefner, guess what the Wikipedia page of Hugh Hefner says, “An American magazine publisher and life- stylist”, Would you believe that? But a man who changed the lives of millions is slandered by crooks who know not what they are doing.

Not a Cent was taken.

Novak then illustrates an incident in Mr. Hill’s life, when while working for a business tycoon, named Ayres, it so happens that the bank teller from one of Ayres’s banks happened to be found on the wrong side of the law on a fateful night.

Learning this, Mr. Hill rushes to check Ayres’s bank on the early hours of the subsequent day, only to find the doors of the Bank wide open, and the vaults that housed the cash all thrown wide open, with cash lying all around.

Mr. Hill, though shocked yet composed, ensures that all of the cash finds its way back to the safety of the lockers along with their records.

Ayres was awe struck at the sincerity, honesty and dedication of Mr. Hill, and instantly promotes him to the position of a manager at the same bank.

There isn’t anything wrong in the citing of this event that had occurred in Mr. Hill’s life by Novak, but what is grossly wrong is the way Novak narrates the entire event in his post, all with the usual touch of spiteful wit meant to question the integrity of Mr. Hill.

“If he would have ever been so honest as not to touch even a cent of the twenty or more thousand that was lying scattered” expresses Novak with doubts.

We believe Mr. Hill’s account

We believe Mr. Hill’s integrity and honesty, to be well composed at the face of trials and temptation and to have returned all of the monies to the rightful owner. That is the beauty of Mr. Hill’s philosophy.

For this is the philosophy that Think and Grow Rich, promotes, not to be envious at other’s wealth or riches but to trust and bank on one’s own wealth that the Creator has faithfully bestowed on every straight thinking individual.

To tap into such vast potentials and apply them wisely. For more Gold is mined from the depths of the human mind than all of the Gold that were ever mined from mother earth until this time.

But apparently, Novak, as usual has No understanding of the laws that govern these higher strata of the human mind.

Who made “New York Times” to be the lord and judge over Mr. Hill

Novak mentions the 1995, New York Times, book review on Mr. Hill’s biography, which has lines that even went to the extent of calling Mr. Hill, as the man who had helped to cover up the crime that Ayres’s bank clerk had committed.

Now this reference from Novak raises two questions, the first one, what makes New York Times, the authoritarian lord and the mouthpiece of the jury of 12, to pass this judgment?

Secondly, it has been widely known and reported by independent medias that New York Times, helps spread anti-Semitic views, anti-conservative views, and anything and everything that it thinks will annihilate the commoner’s interest.

Now the question is, when the societal standing of New York Times is painted with biases and favoritism, what weight would a comment from their table hold?

Take the money and run

Here Novak goes right out to tarnish Mr. Hill’s reputation, calling him a despicable sinner, an outright and impious man with unrighteous behavior. The behavior that abounds with habits of visiting prostitutes and having sex with them.

We do not believe this insinuation and merely consider this to be another fabricated work of fiction by Novak, yet still as the last case scenario, let us assume that Mr. Hill was in the habit of meeting young women [we do not qualify ourselves to judge anyone and neither did the Creator give us the authority to do it, so, we would refrain from using the term prostitute]

Now there are two things that bothers us here. The first one would be, if Mr. Hill had intercourse with a young lady, as claimed by Novak, then it is his private business.

Being a human being, sex is a biological need, and given that Mr. Hill, being a man of charm and valor, there is no doubt that the opposite sex would clearly be interested in him.

But just because the woman had sex with Mr. Hill, it is not within the rights of Novak to be judgmental and call these woman as prostitutes or question the conduct of Mr. Hill.

Novak needs sanctification

Novak, are you looking to find Jesus in Mr. Hill? so as to falsely accuse, condemn and crucify him, liken to what the Romans under the orchestral persuasion of the Jews, did unto Jesus.

Jesus himself did mention about the likes of people like you, on one of his outreaches.

When the local Jews, were chasing down a poor young lady accusing of committing Prostitution and wanted to stone her to death.

Jesus, thus said to mob,”he who has no sin in him let him cast the first stone”, “you do not have the right to judge her” and to the young lady, “go and sin no more”

Now Novak comes out portraying himself to be the all virtuous, all holy, all pious, blogger, given this authority to call his neighbor, a wretched sinner, whilst he heads the list among the wretched sinners, and would require sanctification of body, mind and soul and above all forgiveness for the evil that has perpetrated from his hands.

There is often three sides to a Story, her side, your side and the Truth

Novak then talks about the troubled marriage that Mr. Hill had with Edith. Novak gives great details as to how the relationship was abusive. And while filing for divorce, Edith accuses Mr. Hill to be a cruel and a violent man with ungovernable temper and that she was constantly under the threat of violence from Mr. Hill.

There are a few problems with this narration that would be, Novak, merely states Edith’s part, and for Mr. Hill’s part, he merely says that his friends and business associates had called him out for his infidelity with prostitutes.

These lines sounds more humorous than all of the humorous movies that Hollywood had ever taken. Why? Because the last line ends in the following manner, “infidelity with prostitutes”. So, are we to understand that there are two types of infidelities, infidelity with prostitutes and infidelity with non- prostitutes?

And more so, a person is condemned merely because his friends and business associates had stood a witness for his unrighteous behavior. This is the real mockery and the inadequacy at which the system of family courts operate, to condemn the innocent, because a group of people say he is infidel.

Inferences to take home

There are other inferences that we can draw upon, foremost, on one side, the Main stream media is promotes all Unnatural ways of living life, while on the other side, it its shady oracles to the likes of Novak, to slander, tarnish and character assassinate, anyone and anybody, and then crucify them calling unholy and infidel.

You cannot condemn a man merely based on Edith’s tale, is this what we call fairness

The actions of Edith is all too common in a divorce case. Specially to play victim when things have fallen apart, and then on to call the husband a womanizer, a thief, an abuser, an infidel, etc, we get to see and hear these all of the time.

But how much of the truth is there in these accusations remains to be seen. For anyone can accuse, and any amount of witnesses can be collaborated to wield their tongue against an innocent.

Jesus and his Crucifixion, something we should all learn from

Take the case of Jesus’s trial, when Pontius Pilate summoned Jesus for questioning, to satisfy and satiate the appetites of the Jews assembled there during the trial, he orders lashes to be administered.

Then on Pontius Pilate gives a proposition to the Jews gathered, “Since it is customary to release a prisoner during this Jewish festival, I hereby give you ‘all a choice,  To choose between Jesus and Barabbas.”

But do you all know what the assembled Jews wanted? they wanted Barabbas, the killer, the thief, the swindler to be released, and Jesus to be crucified.

Why are we telling this, because, Mr. Hill, is more or less finds himself in a similar state, where his accusers are assassinating his Character and calling him a violent and devious man. Which we all know is not true.

Do not get equal with those who insult and humiliate you-Napoleon Hill

Why? Because, in all of his videos, Mr. Hill, time and again, tells us that Laughter is the best way to handle hate, if you are really getting angry at someone, just write about the person on the shores of the beach, the waves will swallow the hate, by doing this, you are exactly following the same practices as what the Creator, himself does.

With regard to the accused sexual exploits of Mr. Hill, this is nothing more than a hog wash. Why? We know for sure form Mr. Hill’s recordings, Mr. Hill, time and again cautions his students and the listener to be careful with sexual desires of love and sex.

In exclusive recordings Mr. Hill, states that sex and love are two energies that are responsible for causing more pain to those who abuse them.

To use them properly and to transmute these energies to constructive uses would be the best way to handle these energies.

Do Not to be slave of these emotions but to make these emotions to work for you. No where in all of his teaching, Mr. Hill, did ever misguide his students or the listener to follow a life that leads to Moral degradation.

Mr. Hill, clearly warns the reader about the things life will throw at you, the hurdles it will erect on your way, the disappointments and the failures that one may encounter,  but not to fear, yet still, use these adversaries to your gain, to rise and conquer them. When you do that, these situations and challenges will flee from you.

When was the last time did anyone hear of such powerful life changing advice?

Gandhi too was influenced by Mr. Hill, if Novak doesn’t know this, we don’t blame him for his inadequacies

Mr. Hill’s philosophy was so much impressive that the great Mr. Gandhi, who fought the British Empire in winning India’s freedom attested this philosophy and had ordered that Mr. Hill’s philosophy be available in India.

The readers can verify this, the streets of India abounds with Mr. Hill’s, Think and Grow Rich, even today.

It is imperative to mention that the great Mr. Nelson Mandela, had once mentioned, Gandhi, to be an impressive impact and a motivation on his struggle to win South Africa’s freedom.

Now, here we have Novak, scandalously slandering Mr. Hill’s reputation based on his so called research where which he had never opened any of the single annals from Mr. Hill’s archive and more so citing sources which are of questionable standing and reputation, further still, Novak cites bits and pieces from so called journals that can never be validated.

The fiction of Andrew Carnegie

Now, Novak comes to the main piece of the pie to attack the very book, Think and Grow Rich, which was based on the success principles outlined by Mr. Andrew Carnegie.

The enter write up on this by Novak is filled with fabrication and insinuation. For Novak mentions that Mr. Hill claims, Mr. Andrew Carnegie invited had him over to his house to spend the weekend. But we know from Mr. Hill’s personal recordings, not once did he ever mentions the word “weekend”, he just mentions that he stayed by Mr. Carnegie’s place for 3 consecutive days.

Then Novak cites the work of Nasaw, the biographer of Andrew Carnegie, to state that there was no evidence for Mr. Hill and Carnegie meetings to have occurred.

It is imperative to understand that, Nasaw, himself never claims to be an acclaimed Biographer, but an academician.

Secondly, Nasaw’s, major is American studies, so that raises his credibility to be a biographer, thirdly many of his titles seemed to have some sort of biases. Thence to condemn and tarnish Mr. Hill’s claim based on Nasaw’s work would raise eyebrows and innumerable questions with regard to authenticity and credibility.

Industrialists don’t talk like this-Novak

This gave us a hearty laugh. You know why? Because we live in a day and age where people have completely lost track of at least looking a bit further down in History to find out, what we were and what we are now.

Novak then cites the following passage [the passage is mentioned down below] from the book and comments, Industrialists of the 20th century don’t talk like this. This is sheer foolishness at its heights. You know why? Here we go.

Have you ever noticed the change in the American English, today? In fact, the accent that what the world calls American is not even an accent by anthropological studies and by science of phonetics . The reason being, the accent was produced by the Hollywood.

You don’t believe us? Then just go to the movies of 30s, 40s, 50s and 60s, you would clearly see, hear and feel that the accent then was plain, simple and normal, unlike to the ones that we hear today. By the way, America has at least 20 + accents spoken widely, and the fun is most consider the flavorless Hollywood accent to be America, “makes my heart suffering” [ don’t laugh, by today’s standard, we have 100 reasons to claim that this is perfectly an acceptable sentence]

Because of Hollywood’s extensive reach and money backups, the world now considers this so called accent to be the American accent. Now there is a huge problem with this? The problem is, children of this day and age, merely adopt this without even knowing the past.

That would mean, you are having a base model which has no historical value or culture but merely represents an adulterated form produced at the studios.

The foolishness over flows

This foolishness overflows on to other areas too. Just like the case of Novak, who goes out on a slandering spree, calling out unreal all because his cognitive skill sets wouldn’t allow him to look further and this disorder is is seeping in everywhere.

The passage the Novak, cites

HILL: Will you tell me, in the simplest words possible, just how one may control this wheel of fortune? I would like a description of this important success factor which the young man or young woman just beginning a business career may understand.

CARNEGIE: First of all, to control the wheel of fortune one must understand, master and apply the 17 principles of achievement. I have already named five of these principles, and I might here suggest that these five, if properly applied, will carry one a long way on the road toward success in any calling.

And after mentioning this, Novak, questions if any industrialist of the 20th century would ever talk like that?

Now we wish to ask Novak, what is wrong in talking like that? It would be much better if Novak mentions the conversational style of the 20th century, Industrialists.

It also prompts us to question, Novak’s IQ, why? for he thinks and assumes that Industrialist of the 20th century are men who are just not capable of a decent conversation that the common man would understand.

It is imperative to understand that men of great standing in the leagues of Mr.Andrew Carnegie are always rock bottom when it comes to attitude and humanity.

Humility was the core of Mr. Andrew Carnegie, but Novak doesn’t know a thing about it

They never think of themselves to be men of a superior kind or make up. No wonder it is this attitude that makes these men great.

Walk into a great industry, you will always see the boss of the company, dining with his employees, shaking their hands, drinking coffee with them, and even playing a game of ping pong.

For they know this for sure, that they had gotten there because of their employees.

Being a Blogger does not give you a clean ticket to Slander, Novak

But apparently, Novak will never know this, for he thinks, because he is a blogger, he has this green light to slander and tarnish the image and reputation of anybody.

Well, that is difference between a blogger and an Industrialist to the genre of Andrew Carnegie and many others in his likes. It is imperative to know that Mr. Carnegie gave around 350 million dollars to the poor and needy.

The Fabrication continues

Novak creates another humor, this is where we know for sure that all of these are nothing more than the fabricated imagination that is being spewed from a nonchalant decomposed mind.

Guess what Novak does here? he mentions, Dale to be a distant cousin of Andrew Carnegie. Believe it or not, Dale merely added “Carnegie” to his name and has himself confessed that he had no family connection with Mr. Andrew Carnegie. This only goes to show the poor facts at which Novak is operating on.

Novak then goes on to talk about Mr. Hill’s Automobile College.

According to Novak, Mr. Hill, had lured students with false promises of gainful employment.

If this was true that a college indeed was started with prospects of assurance to students that gainful employment would be secured after the course completion, then the much needed question to ask would be, how could this be classified a scam?

Ivy Leagues and Elite Colleges do this all the time

Don’t we not see this all the time, top colleges including those that are Ivy leagues, lure students and their parents, with assurances that after their course completion, they shall earn fat sums as salaries. Only to later find that none of these promises can fetch them nothing more than an average pay.

Of course, when you question these colleges and universities, as to why students were unable to secure gainful employment, the reasons given would be, that the inert ability of the student matters too, no matter what is taught by who, if qualities of greatness is not within, nothing tangible can be achieved.

That goes to question the system that we are in, if Ivy leagues and elite colleges can out rightly advertise and give offers of a blue sky prospects, then why not the common man?

The Medical field and the Cosmetics industry scam more people

The Scams are just every where. It is imperative to understand, if one were to look around one would find innumerable schemes which swindle the poor and the needy with false hopes more worse than what Novak blames Mr. Hill for, though there is no evidence to substantiate Novak’s claims except the stories that the post carries, the other schemes that are reported, are not so.

Take the example of the Medical field. A patient is given hopes that the following Medical procedure would bring her cure. She pumps in all of her life saving and goes into the surgery only to find that her situation has become worse now.

Take cosmetics for example, a man with a graying hair believes that the following hair color will turn him 20 years younger, but later finds out that upon applying, his hair is receding at a faster pace, not only that, the skin at the lower end of his neck is turning red, and rashes are appearing everywhere accompanied by intolerable itching.

Can he or she do anything about the deception that they were lured into, by acclaimed professionals?

No one would even solicit to assist them, why? Because these products are owned by Corporations against whom a word cannot be spoken.

An ordinary man from a very poor family background is trying here hard to raise himself from poverty, even after a century of his living era, people to the likes of Novak cannot digest his success and wouldn’t let his soul to rest in peace, what a filth?

Mr. Hill cures his son Blair, but Novak cannot digest it

Novak then talks about Mr. Hill’s son Blair, who was born deaf without visible appearance of ears and accuses Mr. Hill of his unwillingness to allow Blair to learn sign language.

This narration of the incident is in direct contrast to what Mr. Hill had shared with the public during his recordings.

Clearly, Mr. Hill, narrates this predicament and then goes on to tell, how relentlessly he had worked on the boy, every day for 4 hours, teaching the child to read, write and hear.

Though the doctors and others had given up hope, yet, Mr. Hill, did not, and subsequently, Blair did hear and speak, receiving, 75% ability.

Later on, an orchestral engineering company learning of the special child, volunteered to design a hearing aid that would enable Blair to receive his full 100% hearing capabilities, which he did. A marvel and a miracle. But that is what life is all about, is it not?

The boy who cannot walk, crippled by polio, goes on to become the President of a powerful nation. The musician with absolute no powers to hear, goes on to produce the best ever composition that is ever made. The boys, raised in poverty, who saw nothing but poverty, fighting life when every time hits them harder, go on to make the world’s first flying machine.

All of these are impossible to the normal mind, we all know that but when conditions are challenged, the unthinkable happens.

Novak himself contradicts

In the later part of the post, Novak mentions that Blair writes a letter to Rosa, the then wife of Mr. Hill, asking her for the money he had loaned them. Still further, Novak mentions the misunderstanding between Blair and Mr. Hill, at which stage, Blair calls Mr. Hill, unscrupulous.

Had it not for Mr. Hill, Blair wouldn’t be able to write the letter that Novak claims he did, then on enter into a verbal dual with Mr. Hill, all these only confirms the ardent efforts of Mr. Hill’s success principles.

Though medically this is unexplained, cases like these occur all too often.

It is the Mind that creates, but Novak is too naive to understand this

For the mind is supremely created to aspire things which the mortal self cannot see.

Just look at the capabilities of a Smart phone, if 50 years ago, someone would have spoken about such a device to exist, people would have called him or her a fool, and there would have been an editorial column with countless posts to ascertain the foolishness of the dreamer.

But today, we cannot run our lives without smart phones.

Similarly 10 years ago, if someone were to say that a time would come where machines would replace all humans at workplace, the same fate would await him or her, the ones described above. But today, this is becoming a reality. Amazon is replacing all of its workforce, soon Robots would be handling all shipping and forwarding. Ford Motors have trenched, 10,000, workers on a single day. Major corporation have reduced their workforce by 60%.

The point is, just because, Novak’s mind is incapable of comprehending the healing of Blair, it does not mean that such a feat as those described by Mr. Hill is impossible.

All things are possible to the mind which believes.

According to Novak, you have no Right to complain

Novak continues his rambling on Mr. Hill, citing issues which will make any person with reasonable intelligence to laugh out loud.

Take for example the case where Mr. Hill had expressed concerns about the Illinois Central Railroad’s poorly lit cars, which had caused an issue with his eyes.

Novak calls out this to be hilarious. We are trying to understand as how could someone’s issue be termed hilarious?

If we are paying for our travel, as consumers don’t we not have the right to raise concerns about the quality of the lights and amenities offered to us?

If we cannot, then all of the consumer law suits till date should be annulled based on Novak’s hypotheses, tell us what you think about this?

No Evidence, merely stories from Novak

The subsequent paragraphs from Novak all abound with ridicules, blames and spews of  insults, written merely with intention to find fault and a reason to paint the picture that this individual who has conquered life, has a past which is despicably impure, unholy, un-divine.

Wow! Novak, you belong to that category of people who would look at his neighbor and say, oh! People, do you’ll know this man whilst a child? he wore soiled nappies all of the time.

Reading through the post we get the feeling that Novak has labored well enough to collect all the hearsays to bad mouth Mr. Hill, connecting Mr. Hill, from unaccredited schools to flopped candy businesses.

The entire post, which Novak claims to have written after countless hours of research is more of a cheapskate tale, just look at the accusation: Novak claims that Mr. Hill asked his students to represent his case for a seat in the US congress and then goes on to add that, ‘later some would claim that he aspired nothing less than the presidency of USA’.

Now the question that we would ask here would be, when you claim that you have done countless hours of Research, why would you write using words such as “some would claim”?

Anyone and anybody can claim anything, just like you, Novak, who claims to have done countless hours of research, aimed at slandering Mr. Hill, the question is, give us the evidence.

A normal citizen cannot contest for US presidency-according to Novak

Novak writes the article merely on storytelling abilities and worse still with a sole purpose to slander and destroy the integrity of a genius.

With regard to Novak’s claim on Mr. Hill’s interest for US Presidency, let us assume that Mr. Hill, did have an aspiration to run for Presidency, then what is wrong with that?

For every citizen of the US, has the right to contest for Presidency, becoming the President requires the mandate from the people, you, Novak, may not be aware of the constitution.

The Idiosyncrasies of Novak continues

Novak’s idiosyncrasies does not even spare the FBI. Novak claims that just because one of Mr. Hill’s students was vocal in his criticism, Mr. Hill reported the matter to FBI, and according to Novak, the FBI, supposedly arrested the kid owing to his German-American descent.

Now, Novak is insinuating that FBI is so naïve that they would arrest people merely on complaints without conducting an enquiry and ascertaining the cause for the complaint.

The pain gets even worse, when Novak rides the insinuation wave all through with words such as “Supposedly arrested”, meaning, Novak is not sure but yet still blames Mr. Hill and then on pulls in the FBI.

This has been Novak’s writing style. Nothing concrete, nothing precise, nothing solid, all of the time, just blame, insinuate, and hypothesize.

NAP serves his country

Novak ridicules Mr. Hill’s volition to serve President Wilson’s war efforts by declining to receive any monetary compensation.  The question is what is wrong with declining to accept payment?

The problem is Novak segments everyone would prioritize and worship money as he does, and weigh every deed in cents and dollars, like as he does.  There are things greater than money, example, Peace of Mind, no money can buy that.

No one can have more subscribers than Novak

Novak then cites a scenario where Mr. Hill’s magazine awards the Golden medal to a chiropractor by name Dr. B.J. Palmer for exemplary services, the issue is that Novak feels that Dr. Palmer was credited this award on Mr. Hill’s falsified claims that Dr. Palmer had received 150,000 votes cast by magazine subscribers.

Novak doesn’t stop there, he goes on to mock and question if Mr. Hill’s magazine did ever have at least 150 subscribers to show off, leave alone 150,000 subscribers.

What Novak fails to understand here is that, when little known bloggers in the likeness of Novak can muster post clicks in around 1000, then why wouldn’t it be possible for an acclaimed writer, author and public speaker in the likes of Mr. Hill, to have subscribers to the order of 150,000 or even more?

Novak on Law of Success

Law of success, was a classic book written by Napoleon Hill, and published in 1925. The book crossed over 20 million copies in sales. Novak calls, the law of success as a mangled garbage for its literary merits. The much important question to ask here would be what attributes or parameters, does Novak consider, qualifies as literary merits?

Secondly, what literary merits does his post have in it?

Thirdly, what cognitive credentials does Novak carry, qualifies him to be an authority far greater than the publisher Mr. Pelton, to ascertain the literary worth of the Book? We would like to hear from Novak.

Novak embarks on a bandwagon of ridicules, humiliating the book as a rambling of a lunatic, and more so, according to Novak, the only reason that the book became famous was to the fact that the events mentioned in the book revolved around the lives of Mr.Thomas Edison and Mr. Alexander Bell.

The problem of the world to call all future greats as lunatic

Now if there be one problem that has plagued the world all through generations, then it is this, to habitually call, all of the future greats as lunatic.

Look at what they did to Mr. Henry Ford, when he replaced the horse with a steam driven carriage, they called him a lunatic, a man who needs immediate treatment. But, Mr. Ford later on goes to become the Automobile baron of America.

The world called, Copernicus a living fool, Galileo, a mad man, and more recently, Roger banister as insanely ambitious who will have his heart cracked if he ever attempted the mile in a 4 minute mark.

History is flooded with innumerable events such as these, so if Novak, out of his miserly developed cognitive fraternity does follow suit, it would just be a dead leaf at the bosom of the wind, with its final destination being the garbage bin.

The impact of Mr. Hill’s books

In the interest of time and the Monies we had spent in bringing up this post, to defend the works of Mr. Hill, we wish to hit the conclude button by mentioning the following to the cause.

Irrespective of whether Mr. Hill ever met with the then Presidents, or whether Mr. Hill had collaborative understanding with Mr. Carnegie, or whether he was indeed a conman, or whether he was a scam artist, or even his style of writing was completely deprived of an acceptable literary standing, further still, whether all of Mr. Hill’s writing would be considered to be a mere rambling of a lunatic, whatever Novak calls Mr. Hill or Slanders, it doesn’t matter. You know why?

For the works of Mr. Hill, and his Books, has changed the lives of Millions world over.

Jim Rohn and Bob Proctor attribute their success to Mr. Hill

The famous motivational speak, Mr. Jim Rohn, attributes his success to “Think and Grow Rich”, in his own voice, Mr. Jim Rohn says, the Book was worth thousands, but he bought it for pennies.

Mr.Bob Proctor, the man who rose form rags to riches, whose net worth is in Millions, attributes all of his success to “Think and Grow Rich”

The online community is filled with countless testimonies as to how this book changed lives.

The Legacy will live on inspite of haters like Novak or the websites that spew hate and defame Mr. Hill

No other book in the history, apart from the Bible has had such profound influence on humanity.

Irrespective of whether Mr. Edison was unwelcoming towards Mr. Hill, or even for that matter, Mr. Clement Stone, severed his partnership with Mr. Hill, in all honesty, none of these individuals, including Mr. Carnegie’s name would have ever crossed the shores of America, had it not been for Mr. Hill, who through his seminars and his written word, had time and again, demonstrated their greatness, their vision and their steadfast achievements.

The greatness of the book can be felt in each one of the 17 success principles laid out. Take for example, Self Discipline. How many of the books published prior to, Think and Grow Rich, has narrated the importance of Self Discipline in all detail.

Mr. Hill’s philosophy, “No matter how others treat you, your self discipline will totally dictate the outcome of the confrontation, never let the other person take control of yourself” Such profound statement.

What a soul stirring advice to the young and the old. To handle themselves gracefully amidst adversaries. To say these words of great insights, Mr. Hill, need not have graduated from Oxford or neither be a student of Shakespeare, learning to write effectively with literary merits.

Philosophy from the Book

Anger is singly responsible for most people’s downfall, so don’t get angry and fall. What a profound wisdom for this day and age that Mr. Hill, out of his ingenuity had coupled his wisdom and intelligence to convey to the layman the things that are needed to break shackles and live peaceably.

The Bible says, get angry but sin not.

It is the simplicity of Mr. Hill’s writings that captivated the World

Today, if as Novak as mentioned, if the book would have been written with all the literary skill sets that usually goes into writing of other books, and with no lunatic rambling [this is how Novak defines the book], the book would have never appealed to the Common man.

For the common man needs simplicity, lucidity, he wants to see himself in the frame and not a cultured suit wearing Colonial General.

No matter what people like Novak or others in his likes feel about the book, or heap up slanders in a bid to tarnish the author of the book, Mr. Hill, nothing would change a jot, when it comes to the countless lives that this Book has singly changed.

The very fact, even after 100 years of the Author’s legacy, still someone comes up with a 5000 word post to slander and cause hurt to millions who treasure Mr. Hill’s writing, goes to show the success level that Mr. Hill has reached.

Novak would never have dared to write a post against any other Author or writer

Guess what? people like Novak or websites that he writes for, would have never dared to write against any authors or writers who promote all of the filth under the name of liberated culture, be what you want, do what you want, practice all of the unnatural practices that you want, the irony: they will fall at their feet and call this moral decay as liberty.

Yet still, if somewhere from the rattlesnake ridged mountains, if a common man comes out to with the Gospel to change lives, people to likes of, Novak, would have all of their tooth spewing hate, abusing putrid mess, tarnishing the poor soul, which is defense less.

Final words

The legacy of Think and Grow Rich, and that of Mr. Hill, will go on, bringing hope to the hope less, no matter how bad life has pushed you, no matter what your situations are, life will give you one more set, push further, push harder, for you are here for a purpose, you are the seed that is destined for greatness, no matter how hard you get hit, don’t fall on your face, fall on your back, for you too will one day rise up, for you too will one day conquer your fears, conquer your weaknesses, conquer your inadequacies, look what Napoleon Hill did, from the mountains of the rattlesnake infestation, he has become Immortal.

Think and Grow Rich.
