We can reprogram life, how to do it wisely-Juan Enriquez-Ted talk critique

You can view the talk by visiting Ted.COM, or by clicking this link

On the outset what would you think the moment you read a title such as this, “we can reprogram life, ……..“, we managed to ask this question to at least 1000 of our dedicated readers in person plus sent through a questionnaire to about 10,000 subscribers.

90% of the responses were as follows,

  • I know a lot can be done with my life
  • I know there is always great room for improvements
  • I know, if there is sufficient will that could muster out, then for sure the something great can be achieved
  • I also know that I do not know the way to get started

But we have news for you’all. Don’t look further, the title is all dissuading and there is nothing such a tip or a guidance you would get out of it, if you are looking for Personal development perspective.

Then what is this talk about? We shall place its reviews here

The talk starts with an introductory illustration to Dustin Hoffman’s movie the “Graduate”, and how the young Hoffman, was asked his plans for life and that a suggestion to get into “Plastics” entrepreneurial avenues was given to him by an Elder.

It is perfectly fine to give this illustration but what doesn’t fit is the Speaker’s volition to change the Movie script and that the word of suggestion for Hoffman’s career should have been “Silicon” entrepreneurial avenues, and not Plastics.

Then, according to the Speaker, probably the young graduate, Hoffman, would have ended up either as a Microsoft or an Apple’s inventor.

But what the Speaker doesn’t understand here is without Plastics, there would be no Computers, Microsoft or Apple for that matter. For every microchip, requires a Plastic to be cast on.

Secondly, not all who gets into Silicon Valley gets out in one piece.

Why? Because he or she will work his or her a** off just to ensure that the following month doesn’t result in a Housing mortgage default or worse still ending up in a night shelter.

Social life is a Luxury if you are working at Silicone Valley

There is literally No social life. A Technical engineer at Silicon Valley works on an average 10 hours a day, plus the time to commute to and fro adds up in all 12 hours for the day.

So when he or she hits the couch, it would just be enough time to set the next chores in order, say hi to the kids, and may be a bit of smooching to the spouse, and breathe that sigh of relief for the night.

Worse place for New Recruits

It is the worse place for new recruits. You will be treated worse than trash-picker. All kinds of look downs, and facial contortion ought to be endured. Why? Because, all had gone through that initiation phase and had reached the point to where they are now on all fours, so the only way to get a feeling of accomplishment would be to do unto others what they had received from others.

Don’t even bother to report or tell what you are experiencing to anybody. For in all cases, no action would be initiated for the simple reason, Silicone Valley is above the law, for they make the law, just imagine, all of the Software that every Law enforcement of the world uses would need an update, and where would they go? No matter who or what, finally, all of the agencies ought to wait at the mercy of the Silicone Valley.

40 is a death sentence

Whether you like it or not, the minute you hit 40, you are done. Specially if you are working for one of the top notch companies at the Valley. You may claim discrimination cause of age, but no one cares. You will simply be laughed at and shown the door politely, may be with a slice of the Cheese cake that you always enjoyed at the Company’s Cafeteria.

The reason most companies give is that, by 40, the juice is all done [this is exactly what was spewed out by a CEO] The person becomes a old horse, too rigid to flex and adopt to new demands. Plus, most have a tummy, and have deformed themselves too severely that your Company brand gets hit when they show up, after all we don’t want our clients to think that we have an old and out dated employee culture.

We wrote all this, just to hit home the point that “Plastics” was the right word indeed.

Now the Focus is on 2015

According to the Speaker the best advice to be given to anyone who graduates, pertaining to career choices would be to pursue, “life code”.

But the question here to be asked is, whose “life code” are they supposed to pursue and by whose authority?

In explaining about the title, “life code”, the Speaker mentions about Darwin’s theory of Natural selection and random mutation and then goes on to place Earth’s age at 4 Billion years.

Debunking Darwin’s Theory

But what ought to be seen is the fact that Darwin never came with that number, except for Evolutionists who adore and hold on to Darwinian theories, Darwin himself couldn’t explain many of the pot holes in his original theory which was published as a book titled, “Origin of species”

The Speaker does not include Epigenetics into the equation at all, thus takes a unidirectional approach in justifying his stand, which is not scientific.

A Sweden Chicken study on Epigenetics had found out that if Stress affects the mother hen at genetic level, then it gets passed on to the offspring too.

In another Swedish study, it was found that overeating by children in Northern Sweden, have found to affect the mortality rates of children born to them.

This would mean, your current behavior will affect your child’s. Thus making the very concept of Natural Selection questionable.

Thus causing scientist to wonder had they erroneously accepted a flawed one to a genuine one as proposed by, Jean Baptiste Lamarck.

Who claimed that Giraffes developed long neck because of their harsh environment that caused their grandparents to stretch in order to reach the plant shoots.

Today, scientific evidence is high to make a straight statement that “Life styles”, will change the genes of the next generation, thus, debunking Darwinian theory.

Apply Commonsense when all of the other senses goes blind

You take a Melon seed and stuff it into a bottle; the melon that grows will cover the entire bottle and will have the shape of the bottle. What shall we call this now? Natural selection, or the environment which caused the melon to grow into a bottle shaped melon?

The Akon seed that you place by your window will ever be a small plant no matter even after 15 years, until you plant the seed on a soil which permeates, freshness and nutrition to its roots.

With regard to the Speaker defining Natural selection as way of letting a Chihuahuas on the African plan, is totally a mockery.

Not one, not a hundred, even if he were to leave a thousand, none would survive. Simple, Epigenetics. The stress is too much for them and going back again to the Swedish study, mother hens under stress, lose their cognitive abilities totally even to locate food in the maize.

This would only mean if we are to transpire the same to the Chihuahuas study and Natural selection phenomenon, it is Game over for them. In brevity, no selection for life would occur Naturally, except for them going crazy and dropping dead like dominoes.

We did this just to make our point that there is this area of Epigenetics that the Speaker has totally lost sight, where nothing is truly Natural.

Unnatural selection” and Non-Random mutation

The Speaker goes on to use two terms, “unnatural selection” and non-random mutation.

First for the non-random mutation. The examples suggested here are beer and yogurt. The point to observe would be, wine drinking and yogurt eating have been in existence since the great Sumerian, the Persian, the Egyptian civilization.

There is nothing scientific about making these, except for the availability of a scientific explanation as, what Happens? Because, it is not what makes the wine that matters, but the impact it produces on an Individual, which again will depend on many factors of the Individual’s physique.

Hence to out rightly term Beer making and Wine making as a non-random mutation, you are taking away the credit that the Maker has put in.

The same goes with yogurt and many others in their leagues. For example take Yogurt making, a lot depends on the yeast and the milk from where it was sourced, plus the utensils used in the preparation, plus the time of the day it was yeasted in, plus the tides, whether they were high tides or low tides.

Thus, we see and hear that the Speaker is too often makes judgement with unilateral focus alone, this merely implies his deprived domain content expertise and his subsequent inability to focus on external parameters that are beyond the seeing mind.

Non Random mutation

The Speaker then mentions about how they are producing through non-random mutation, 8 of the top 10 pharmaceutical products, then cites, Humira, the drug that treats arthritis.

What the Speaker fails to mention the side effects that such drugs bring on Humans.

Statin drug, makes more people Diabetic every year

Take for example the Multi billion dollar brand, Statin. Which is administered to all those with Cholesterol issues, research suggests that 40% of Statin users become diabetic within the first 2 years of its usage.

15 million people are prescribed this medication in India every year, thus making, 2 million people Diabetic, and then the Medical community has this audacity to say that India will soon be the Diabetic capital of the world. Bravo! What can we call this?  Non-random purposeful mutation.

The Speaker was seen and heard mentioning the drug Humira, without saying its side effects that befalls on the innocent

Side effects of Humira usage

With regard to Humira, the side effects includes but not merely restricted to the following.

  • Numbness or Tingling of the foot
  • Weakness in your legs
  • Chest pain
  • Join pain
  • Shortness of breadth
  • Hives
  • Itching
  • Vision issues
  • Erectile dysfunction
  • Loss of Libido

The Adverse Drug Reaction [ADR]

The leading cause of death in the US, is due to ADR, which has been rightly pointed out by Prof. Douglas C. Wallace, an eminent professor of Genetics, who invented the MIC, known as the Mitochondrial chip, demonstrated the dangers that any administered drug can cause.

To find the effect of a drug on a patient, MIC, the mitochondrial chip  gets tagged on to the drug. The path of the drug is observed through a computer.

The ardent and alarming fact is that when the human immune system spots the drug, an immediate defense mechanism against the drug is set in motion.

Thus the drug is treated as a poison and is sent to the liver through the hepatic portal vein. The first pass effect occurs which will damage the liver.

Thus a new syndrome called the Non-Alcoholic Sclerosis of the liver is caused. Thus any drug administered to the patient, destroys the body, destroys the Liver and if any good comes out, it is merely from the pass effect.

Knowledge does not advance by repeating things, but knowledge advances by refuting false dogma

The Ardent belief that new drugs and new codes, be it life or without life will Cure the suffering of the Patients will merely be and will remain an illusion of Speakers in the league of Juan.

We state following just to show the depths of Medical deception that has plagued the world.

In the year 127 AD, Galen said, that the Liver pumps the blood, for the next 1500 years, papers were published, degrees were awarded, honors were conferred on this premises that Liver pumps the blood.

Of course, sometime in 1628, this great flaw was corrected by a London Professor.

The question that creeps up is, when our existing scientific knowledge is limited and is not yet been sufficiently validated, would it be wise to venture into uncharted territories of unnatural selection and non-random mutations, suggesting that they are already existing?

Three Principle rule

The following three Principles are suggested by the Speaker to ethically manipulate Life

First Principle

The first principle has a direct implication to Pottery Barn rule suggests, “you break it, you own”, but the irony is, when big Pharmaceuticals don’t even own the dangerous of the side effects or blatantly don’t’ mention the dangers of their drug use, would it be even wise to talk about the first Principle?

Second Principle

We ourselves are but a bit confused. For he is talking about the existence of Hominids and then follows it up with a sentence, that, ‘most of them went extent, except us’, there are a thousand questions with regard to this single statement from the Speaker.

We would just raise two here.

Foremost, what Scientific evidence is he banking on to make this assertion, if it is on Darwinian or on Evolution fables, then it is a myth, and money fleecing concept.

Secondly, the average lifespan of Hominids is around 35 years, where as a human has an average life of around 80 years, how can something which cannot lock its knees and adept in climbing, and cannot express emotions can produce something which can walk tall, and lock knees, and can run and hide, and express emotions in all spheres beyond any thing that can only be comprehended by the Human Mind?

Third Principle

The Speaker talks about how we should respect other people’s choice and how we had exactly descended from on African mother.

Well, if all this was truly meant from the Speaker’s heart, then he should not venture into a scientific expedition that is meant to alter the original creation and the purpose we were meant to be.

More so, if Africa was the center, then why not the Scientific communities, channel their resources and time and more so the efforts that would truly make the change in the lives of those, living in Africa, where the average school boy walks miles on bare foot to reach his school.

Where pregnant mothers still ought to carry loads of heavy toil to make ends meet. Where diseases, pandemics, tribal warfare, are all the days agenda.

Recommendations

In all earnestness, we don’t need any adventures now, with the AI around, Robots are taking the employment area by storm. People losing their livelihood overnight and with rising costs, there is chaos and trouble in most places.

If the scientific community needs projects, then they ought to focus on curing the onslaught that resulted in the random mutation of unnatural selection that occurred during the Nuclear draconian act that was perpetrated against two Japanese cities, Hiroshima and Nagasaki, where children are still born with genetic mutation-according to Research and Social reports.

The second worthy protect would be to cure the impact of another Random mutation and unnatural selection, equally draconian, perpetrated by the Union carbide, against the small city, named Bhopal in India. Over night, millions were wiped out, and children born still have genetic mutation body parts-according to received Reports

When the title, “we can reprogram life, how to do it wisely”

In all honesty, we are not sure why the title and the featured talk had nothing in common to harmonically oscillate with.
